Coal Handling Shed - Foyer The coal handling shed is the East-most room of the White Bay Power Station (WBPS). For this design, the shed will be transformed into a foyer where people who want to enter the building may pay for their ticket. Without the ticket, people may not enter any part of the building, excluding outside areas. Once purchased, they may travel up the stairs and across the elevated glass walkway towards the boiler room.

Boiler Room - Leisure PoolsThe boiler room is one of the largest rooms in the WBPS, and is located near the car park. Both of the leisure pools will be located in this building, on two different levels. There is a walkway surrounding the upper and lower pools, allowing visitors to proceed to other areas of the building when they want to. The pool(s) on the ground floor are large and deep in the centre, while the pool on the second floor has the same depth throughout. The upper pool has a glass bottom, and is attached to the walls of the building through reinforced steel. There is also a triple helix slide that runs from the top of the upper pool, through the glass floor and out into the lower pool.

Because this building's facilities require lots of storage, this area can be used to store pool pumps and other equipment that should be inaccessible to the public.

The longest pool in the building will be located in the lap pool. It will have a length of 100m, allowing simmers to train and practice long distance swimming. There will also be multiple stands above and on ground level, allowing many people to spectate in events such as school carnivals.

Entertainment Hall - History Room |
This area is relatively small and is located next to the turbine hall. This will allow locker rooms, including showers and toilets etc. to be built to provide further convenience to visitors.

This relatively small room will allow visitors to see the history of the WBPS. Visitors will be able to see why the WBPS was originally built, how it worked, and the pros and cons of it. There will be some artefacts from the building's previous use, as well as many facts, paintings and other images displayed artistically on the walls. Visitors will be able to explore how and why it was developed into the new WBPS, and how it continues to sustainably generate renewable energy for the future.

The switch house is a long room adjacent to the Lap Pool and History Room that will be transformed into a large gym. Much of the gym's equipment, such as the e-bikes and rowing machines, will use technology that generates electricity when used. This will further contribute to the power generation of the building and may encourage more people to exercise.

The control room is the West-most room of the WBPS. It will be able to serve as a cafe for visitors. The ground floor can be used as a kitchen and part of the seating area. The upper floor will consist of the already existing brick room, as well as an added conservatory adjacent to the existing brick room.

Exterior - Greenery and Water Features
Surrounding the building, there will be multiple native plants and trees added, along with lots of grass and various water features. Some of the plants will be arranged in gardens that are surrounded by benches. There will also be a stone walkway that circulates around the whole building, allowing guests and visitors to enjoy the abundance of greenery and water features. On top of all of the rooms in the WBPS (excluding the conservatory), many solar panels will be added to maximise energy production. Additionally, all windows in the WBPS will be replaced with transparent solar panels. There will also be an underground carpark located near the foyer. Above the carpark, there will be more grass, trees and benches, similar to the rest of the exterior space. Visitors are also able to access toilets throughout the WBPS as there will be toilets in between each room if needed.
